The Story so far, presented in the medium of:
DIARY OF ALPHONSE ELRIC
September 9, 1923
So much has happened over the last few days, I haven't had time to get back to this. As I write, I do it with a metal left arm, like Brother's but different.
It all started back in Munich, when we destroyed the bomb... called Uranium, I think. Brother and I found a gateway in the city. Brother fell into it and disappeared. I had to go in after him. What was on the other side of it was incredible. We were on a strange planet, called Vosroya... or something. There was a war going on, with armoured soldiers called the Space Marines. They were fighting against warriors like them, but corrupted by something. They corrupted versions brought along creatures almost like Haemonculi, back in our world. The planet was being invaded, and Brother had apparently got into a fight with one of the corrupt leaders, and beat it. I think the corrupt Space warriors were called Chaos, or that was their cult name.
We went to some kind of funeral for a Space Marine warrior who had fallen in battle, called Garro. We met a huge man who looked like a cross between a military general and a Fuhrer, as well as a young man, with the tail and ears of a fox, who was some kind of god. He told us something I will never forget: apparently the war in their world involves beings called Primarcs who are created as leaders for the armies that fight in this world against Chaos. And Brother and I were among them. Edward was number 21, and I'm the 22nd, so there must have been many of them. We have our own army, called the Vostroyan Fullmetals, who were set up long ago. It seems they were planning all of this.
We had to fight alongside them, and saw what the corrupt Chaos marines are like. We had to find our way through a huge city that was in ruins. Along the way, we met a man who has become one of my best freinds. He calls himself the Doctor, and has a machine that can take you anywhere. He fought alongside us in a battle with Chaos leaders. An ability of mine to teleoprt from one location to another was finally put to use.
Our journey took us to another planet, where we had to stop Chaos' greatest warrior from receiving power from a magical sword.
The mysterious Doctor then took us to another planet where a battle was being fought: known literally as Armageddon.
There we learned more of this world, that a great empire called the Imperial Alliance is fighting a war in the sky with daemonic forces controlled by five major gods, who represent certain parts of our humanity, like Haemonculi. It is there that I met one of these gods.
We encountered a man called the Master, who is the Doctor's nemesis of sorts. He came with an army of suits of armour many of which were terribly familiar. Brother was kidnapped. We tried to save him, but we were beaten badly. The Master sliced off my arm and shot me in the chest. Brother came to the rescue as I felt on the verge of death. He was stuck in a suit of armour like that which had contained my spirit once. I managed to give instructions to teleport us to safety. Then, I blacked out.
When I woke up, something beutiful yet horrible was in my head. I remember being in a battle, and I was almost shot by some kind of energy cannon, but Brother got caught in the blast. My first moments of full consciousness were spent half-naked, on a rocky hill, with metal inside the left part of my chest, and with a metal arm that wouldn't respond. I was in a daze even then, and many black Space Marine soldiers were fighting and being slaughtered. Brother, in his metal body, was dying. I fought with the marines, and it became easy to beat the Chaos soldiers. There was an explosion in the sky, another Uranium bomb had been used to destroy the city behind us. As I kept fighting, I became too weak to carry on. The Doctor arrived, and he had a suit of armour that he could transmute Brother into to save him. Once again, I blacked out.
I woke in a hospital, where I got to see Brother again, and the Doctor. As I looked at Ed's new body, I saw what I was all those years ago.
We went back to the Doctor's machine, called the Tardis, though I don't know what that stands for, and we went back to Munich at last.

The Doctor came back to us and told us what was going to happen in Germany in the next few years. His Tardis appeared right where the gate to the space war was found by my brother some months ago.
There was to be another war, which is won by the "good guys". It seems that the Gate is actually a Portal, and people who break the laws of Equivalent Exchange are thrown into it and into what is called Warp Space, where they are damned by the Chaos gods. The Haemonculi are protrusions into our world of daemonic forces created by Slaanesh, the god who is now my lonely freind. Slaanesh is stuck in my mind, and is unable to come out.
The Doctor gave us a lift to somewhere that he says is a suprise.
Now we are back home, but Amestris is changed. A dictatorship seems to be in place, and it will be up to us to find our old freinds and put a stop to it.
